Day 1: Arrive Aswan – Oberoi Zahra Nile Cruise Tours

Pass By: Aswan International Airport, Qism Aswan, Aswan Governorate, Egypt
On arrival at Aswan Airport or train Station, you will be met an assisted by a Sun Pyramids Tours Representative and taken by air conditioned vehicle to embark and check in to your Oberoi Zahra Luxury Nile Cruise, then enjoy lunch onboard. In the afternoon, you will be escorted by your expert Egyptologist Tour Guide to start your tours beginning with the famous Aswan High Dam, built in the 1960’s to provide the much needed electricity and irrigation for the country. Nubia, the area that was flooded, experienced the biggest and most thorough archaeological excavations that Egypt has ever known. After this, you will be guided to explore Philae Temple which is one of the Nubian Temples rescued before the High Dam was built. Enjoy Philae’s long colonnades, towers and reliefs which include the last surviving hieroglyphic and demotic inscriptions in Egypt. Back to your luxury Nile cruise boat for overnight in Aswan with dinner onboard. Time to explore Aswan City with it’s colourful market and aromas of spices and incense.

Day 2: Aswan Nile Cruise – Sound and Light Show

Pass By: Abu Simbel Temple Complex, Abu Simbel Egypt
Today you have the option of relaxing onboard or taking one of several optional tours. Recommended is the wonderful Temples of Abu Simbel ( the second most visited Pharaonic site after the Pyramids). An awe inspiring colossal Monument, moved during the flooding of the Nile River with two Temples, that of the great Rameses II and the Temple of his Beloved wife Nefertari. Other optional tours available on request. Plenty of time to take a relaxing Spa onboard with all meals and afternoon tea. At Sunset, your Guide will accompany you to visit the lovely Sound and Light Show at Philae Temple. Back onboard for overnight stay in Aswan.

Day 3: Sail to Kom Ombo Temple – Back to Aswan

Pass By: Temple of Kom Ombo, Kom Ombo Egypt
Enjoy breakfast onboard whilst sailing along the tranquil Nile enroute to Kom Ombo. On arrival, you will explore Kom Ombo Temple with your Guide. He will tell you the story of the Temple (the only Temple in Egypt dedicated to two Gods) Sobek the God of fertility, and Haroeis, the Falcon Headed God known as Horus the Elder. Once the tour is finished, back onboard for sailing back to Aswan for lunch with spa time onboard whilst sailing. In the afternoon you will be taken on a delightful sail by a traditional felucca boat to visit the Botanical Gardens, known as Kitchener’s Island, named after Lord Kitchener as a reward for his services in the Sudan Campaign of 1896-1898. Further Spa time in the afternoon with a cocktail party and dinner in the evening. Overnight in Aswan.

Day 4: Sail to Edfu Temple

Pass By: Temple of Horus at Edfu, Edfu Egypt
After breakfast, a relaxing day sailing with Spa time in the morning and afternoon with lunch and afternoon tea onboard. You will arrive in Edfu by late afternoon and be escorted with your Guide to the Temple of Edfu. An awe inspiring Temple dedicated to the God Horus (falcon headed God), one of the best preserved Temples along the Nile. Evening overnight in Edfu with dinner onboard.

Day 5: Sail to Luxor – Nile Cruise Shore Excursions

Pass By: Temple of Karnak, Luxor Egypt
Breakfast onboard whilst sailing on to Luxor. You will have the morning to relax with Spa time and lunch onboard. In the afternoon, you will be taken into Luxor to visit the very informative and fascinating Luxor Museum of Antiquities, hosting an array of ancient artifacts,a collection of masterpieces of pharaonic art with several galleries devoted to spectacular groups of statues found in 1989 hidden beneath the floor of the Luxor Temple. A new annex is dedicated to Egypt’s Golden Age (the New Kingdom, ca. 1550-1070 BC) and includes two Royal Mummies. A visit to explore Karnak Temple in all it’s magnificence and was the largest place of worship ever built. Its ancient name Ipet-isut means ‘The Most Sacred of Places’. The Temple or more correctly, the complex of Temples, was built over more than two thousand years ago by generation after generation of Pharaohs. Within the complex, the great ‘Hypostyle Hall’ is an incredible forest of giant pillars. Back to your Nile cruise boat for Spa time, dinner, and if you wish, time to explore Luxor City or attend the optional Sound and Light Show at Karnak Temple.

Day 6: Luxor Nile Cruise Tours – Sail to Dandera Temple

Pass By: Valley of the Kings, Luxor City, Luxor 85511 Egypt
An early breakfast to enable you to have ample time to explore the West bank of Luxor, the most famous excavational sites in the world known as the Valley of the Kings (the Royal Cemetery to 62 Pharaohs) where the magnificent Tombs were discovered including the famous boy King Tutankhamun (included in your visit). These Tombs were carved deep into the desert rock,richly decorated and filled with treasures from the afterlife of the Pharaohs.(The tombs visited are determined by the Egyptian Government as to preserve them from the large flow of visitors, therefore are rotated throughout the year and cannot be confirmed as to which tombs prior to your visit). A visit to the Temple of Madinat Habu then on to the two enormous and impressive Colossi of Memnon, the two colossal statues of Amenhotep III. Back to your Nile cruise boat for lunch, spa time, and sailing to Qena. Once arrived in Qena, you will be taken to explore the Temple of Dendera, dedicated to the Goddess of Music, love and joy. Dinner onboead and overnight in Qena.

Day 7: Luxor Nile Cruise Shore Excursions

Pass By: Luxor Temple, Luxor 23512 Egypt
A leisurely breakfast aboard your luxury cruise boat before being guided to the West Bank of Luxor to visit Valley of the Noble’s tombs, Dier El Madina, a very special workman’s village where the original craftsmen built and decorated the tombs of the Pharoahs. Lunch back onboard with Spa time, then a further visit to Luxor Temple which was built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for ritual and festivals and dedicated to the God Amun. Back onboard for dinner and a farewell reception and music in the club lounge. Overnight in Luxor.

Day 8: Disembark from Oberoi Zahra Nile Cruise

Pass By: Luxor International Airport, Monshaat Al Amari, Luxor, Luxor Governorate, Egypt
Final breakfast onboard Oberoi Zahra Nile Cruise, then you will be transferred to Luxor Airport or Train Station for your departure.
