3-Day Hobbiton and Waitomo Tour from Auckland with Accommodation

Day One

You will be met at Auckland International Airport upon your arrival. From here, transfer to your Auckland central city hotel and spend the remainder of your day and evening at leisure.

Day Two

Depart Auckland and begin your action packed day at the famous Hobbiton. On arrival at Shire’s Rest, embark on a Hobbiton movie set tour. This location is the largest 'green set' in the world in a beautiful natural setting. You’ll see 44 hobbit holes, the Mill and double arch bridge, the party tree, Bilbo’s house 'Bag End', and the Green Dragon Inn. Afterwards, you'll be treated to a delicious Hobbit-themed buffet lunch at the Shire Party Marquee.

Next, visit Ruakuri Glowworm Caves, a stunning limestone cave formation. Ruakuri Cave offers a captivating blend of Waitomo’s most compelling subterranean experiences. Journey down through the spectacular spiral entrance, and marvel at the dramatic limestone formations and crystal tapestries. Finally, travel to the Otorohanga Kiwi House, the best place to see Kiwi in New Zealand! Learn more about the Kiwi bird through talks with the keepers, see active Kiwi up-close, and watch the birds being fed.

 Travel back to Auckland on board our luxury coach, taking in the stunning scenery that New Zealand has to offer.

Enjoy a morning of leisure. Your tour will conclude at the hotel upon check out.
