You’ll make your first stop of the day at the Arataki Visitor Centre, where you can gaze out at the panoramic vistas of Auckland and its two harbours. This cultural centre also offers unique insight into Maori culture thanks to a variety of Maori carvings on display. You can also learn more about local wildlife in the area, including the ‘weta’ insect and the sky-high ‘Kauri’ trees.
