Little Barrier Island Experience

The Little Barrier Experience boating adventure operates a 4.5-hour winter cruise including lunch and informative commentary on the island's wildlife, histoy, conservation and ecology. The winter season runs from May 1st - September 30th. Trips depart at 10:30am.

In summer, this adventure is extended to 6 hours, and includes snorkeling, kayaking & paddle boarding. Trips depart at 10:00am.

Gulf Eco Adventures operator a modern & comfortable 11m launch which takes a maximum of 12 passengers, ensuring a relaxed and personal experience for all of our guests.

The boat trip out to Little Barrier Island takes approximately 1 hour. On arrival your experienced and knowledgeable skipper will guide you around the spectacular sheltered coastline. Lunch is included on all our trips.

During the summer season, we provide wetsuits, snorkel equipment, kayaks & paddle boards FREE, and you will have plenty pof opportunity to swim in the clear calm waters.

We depart from Sandspit marina, just 50 minutes north of Auckland city. There are regular, cheap bus fares from the city to Warkworth, where we also offer FREE pick up / drop off between Warkworth & Sandspit.

Please Note: This boat cruise is suitable for all ages, however we do travel across open ocean which can sometimes be bumpy.
