Located about 90 minutes north of Auckland central or 25 minutes from Matakana, Pakiri beach is sparsely inhabited and by far one of the area's most stunning beaches. With a beautiful coastline ahead, sand dunes, hills and forest behind you, this region is an amazing spot for a day of horse riding or overnight in beach side chalet's, perfect for a special romantic occasion or family getaway.
We depart the Auckland region travelling north through the beautiful wine region of Matakana before stopping at Pakiri beach horse rides. A great challenge for all ages and abilities, the team will get you setup and take you on a private tour down country roads, crossing over a stream and into the forest and sand dunes before reaching the coast line. From here you will be absolutely amazed at the untouched beauty of Pakiri beach on horse back as we trek further up the coastline before returning through dunes and native bush.
This is a trip ideal for small groups during the summer months of November > April although any sunny day of the year is a great opportunity.
On the way back to Auckland we'll have a stop over at Matakana village for lunch and perhaps a wine tasting or two.
