Private Tour of Piha and KiteKite Falls from Auckland

Journey out west to one of New Zealand's most famous surf beaches, Piha. Located about 45 minutes from the city center our journey goes through the arty township of Titirangi before a short 30 minute stop-over of at the Arataki visitor centre. Here you can learn all about the history of the Waitakere Ranges regional park which covers over 16,000 hectares of native rain forest and coastline. 

The Arataki visitor centre is also a gateway to some of the 250 kilometers of hiking tracks which lead to some of West Auckland's hidden gems including waterfalls, giant Kauri trees and amazing lookout points of the city, coastline and forest.

From here we continue our journey to Piha beach stopping off at a spectacular high peak lookout point over the coastline before making our way down the beach to explore the black sand surf beach and local cafe's.

For a bit of extra adventure check out nearby KiteKite falls. A 1.8 kilometer, 45 minute easy walk takes you to the stunning waterfall. This is perfect for a picnic stop and a swim. You can even hide behind the sheet of water coming down from the waterfall.

Upon leaving Piha we recommend the 1.4 kilometer, 1 hour Mercer Bay Loop walking track. An enjoyable scenic walk with amazing shoreline views along some of the highest sea cliffs in Auckland.
