This is a typical itinerary for this product
Our first night is spent in the heart of the majestic Waipoua forest. Home to the magnificent giant Kauri and Rimu trees, here we'll hole up at a quaint campsite with walking tracks right next door. We'll have time for a stroll before dinner, which can be a group cook or an individual feed. After dark when the time is right we'll head out with our red lights for some Kiwi spotting. The forest is right there and so too often are the Kiwi.
We'll overnight in our vans then start the morning with a hearty campsite breakfast before heading north.

They don’t call it 90 mile beach for nothing. Well actually they do, it’s about 58 miles really. Early farmers in the area just guessed!
Anyway this fabled thin strip of land is where New Zealand kind of stretches off into the ocean, it’s a special place. We’ll meander north along 90 mile beach until we reach our camping spot right at the top of New Zealand. When we arrive we'll discover Cape Reinga, it’s majesty, it’s oceans and it’s legends. We are 100 km's north of the nearest town now, so we'll stop off on the way for supplies to get us through the night. Here we'll enjoy group meals of guests can self cater.
At night at the cape can be an adventure, we might be going out on a nocturnal bush walk or hunkering down to whether a storm. being so far from anywhere the night sky is often pretty spectacular.
Next morning we'll have breakfast and hit the road south towards the bay of islands.

After leaving the far north we'll head towards historic and quaint Russell for lunch, this place was the first capital of New Zealand.
We'll drive through beautiful Russell Forest and Parakura Bay, taking in all the cool nooks and crannies along the way. Our overnight stop on Night 3 is stunning, a secluded inlet on the water called Puriri Bay. Enjoy the peace and quiet, watch the sky for bird life and the water for stingrays and fish. We'll set up camp for the night, again with a shared meal or self catering.
