Day 1: Day 1: automnal colors, silence and crunchy almonds

Stop At: Abbaye Notre-Dame de Senanque, D177a, 84220, Gordes France
The monks who live at Sénanque grow lavender (visible in front of the abbey on the picture) and tend honey bees for their livelihood. Slowly distilled, the lavender gave the best of its properties in a unique essential oil.

Day 2: Day 2: an oasis in the desert

Stop At: Prieure de Salagon, 04300 Mane France
We will walk down in the Crau, typical Haute-Provence landscape with Thyme, Holm oak, Pin-tailed sandgrousand Little bustard. Joanne wrote: "Scattered whitish rocks stand out like bones, a thin topsoil where bushes languish, some mountain flowers and stunted trees... these mountains form almost everywhere a dreadful desert which will not have more inhabitants: this is the Sahara without the sun of Africa, with the snows of Siberia."
