5 h
Half Day
About this activity
You will be picked up from your hotel or accommodation in Avignon where you will start your half day tour to discover the Luberon in the morning or afternoon.

Open your senses to the changing colors of Provence and be guided through the typical middle age villages surrounded by the natural beauty of landscapes described in Peter Mayle's book about Provence.

There will be plenty of photo opportunities of the panoramic views of Provence over the Luberon Valley and Gordes. Observe the Abbey of Senanque where old stones are in perfect harmony with the lavender color which is a true representation of Provence.

Visit Roussillon village where the ochres houses and cliffs makes you feel like an artist, anther great spot for photos.

During the lavender season in Provence (June until August) you will be able to see some lavender fields in bloom.

There will also be market stops depending on the day of the week and location (Tuesdays in Gordes and Thursday in Roussillon).

Our guide was very knowledgeable, enjoyable and offered great tips for how to spend our personal time allowed for exploring the different areas. This tour truly was the highlight of our stay in Avignon. The selected stops were rich in history and stunning to see. Time spent at each stop was well balanced with maximizing a generous number of sites and towns to see on the tour.
