Spend a morning or an afternoon discovering the setting for Peter Mayle’s famous book 'A Year in Provence'. Admire the hilltop villages and the incredible views on offer. On your tour from Avignon, you will visit Gordes, the village of limestone, and Roussillon, the charming ochre village, surrounded by cliffs. Make a stop at Senanque Abbey and If you visit between mid-June and mid-August you will see the surrounding brightly colored lavender fields in full bloom. Make sure you have your camera with you for some wonderful photo opportunities! Cross Pont Julien, a bridge forming part of the Via Domitia, which was built in Roman times to connect Italy with Spain and enjoy the view from the village of Lacoste at the Marque de Sade’s castle.
