In Nimes, you will see the Jardin de la Fontaine, one of the very first public gardens in Europe, from where you can admire Tour Magne and explore the water basins and waterways. Our guide, Guillaume, was entertaining, insightful and informative. Wish we could have gone into the Arena in Nimes though.
This tour was very good for seeing a little of Nimes, Uzes and the Pont du Gard and was the only way we could have done it in the time.. We would have liked more time to explore Nimes ideally. The minivan was very clean and comfortable and the guide extremely knowledgeable - it was like a university education in the area's history! Guillaime was very personable and happy to answer all sorts of questions. We enjoyed the morning and would recommend the tour.
We are extremely satisfied with the 5 hour tour out of Avignon as it far exceeded our expectations. Our tour guide, Ann, was extremely knowledgeable about the region and very experienced as a guide. Ann whet out of her way to make sure that we had the best vantage point for pictures unlike many of the other tours at the same attractions. One of the best tour companies and guides we have ever used.
Excellent tour with a great knowledgeable guide who was friendly and helpful. She picked us up on time as arranged and offered information and assistance for the area. I would highly recommend this tour and tour company over others we took in this area.
If you like speed touring this is your tour. Some sites we were given 10 minutes and told the the van would leave is we were not there. The guide complained multiple times about how much Viator was charging them and said she would not pay our way into the Post du Gard since we did not pay from their site. We had fun but I would suggest finding another operator.
Gordana has an amazing personality - incredibly bubbly and easygoing. As my family were the only ones on tour that day, Gordana made recommendations to alter our tour route to suit our tastes. We thoroughly enjoyed this fascinating tour with Anne, our charming and extremely knowledgeable guide! Anne showed us too many sights and wonders to list, gave us excellent history leassons of Provence, and provided delightful insight into the French way of life. Nimes is a beautiful, elegant city providing the perfect blend of modern and a well-preserved past. Uzes is a fairytale town -- breathtaking! Anne gave us marvelous details about both places. At the Pont du Gard, she provided information we would not have known visiting on our own. Anne is one of the very best guides we've ever had! Highly recommend this tour, especially if Anne is your leader!
