Furnas full-day tour

Departing from Ponta Delgada, you will start your tour on a circular route along the south coast and return to the north coast of the island. Along the road, it will be possible to explore the coast, with stops to traditional fishing ports like Franca do Campo. Enjoy a guided tour of a scallop factory, as well as tea plantations in one of the factories on the north coast of our island.

Around 12:30 you'll reach the Furnas lagoon and watch the preparation of the famous stew of Furnas and of one of the typical dishes of the Azorean cuisine. Once in Furnas city center, you'll taste stew co-molded in volcanic soil, a local dish.

After lunch, it is time to visit the village of Furnas, its boilers, its fumaroles and springs of mineral water; it is also possible to taste some delicious traditional liqueurs made by a local company. Enjoy some relaxing free time walking through Parque Terra Nostra (the largest botanical garden in S. Miguel) or bathing in the thermal pools of Dona Beija.
