São Miguel Sete Cidades tour

In this half-day tour, through the largest volcanic complex on the island of S. Miguel, you will discover unforgettable places; in one of your first stops you will see the viewpoint of the Pico do Carvão, the north and south coast, as well as the three highest points of the island of S. Miguel and meadows, where the cattle to walk and to graze in tranquility.

Let yourself be enchanted by a unique and magical natural environment as you reach the lagoon of the Empadadas and the Canario, smaller lagoons, anyway scenic and part of the largest volcanic complex of the island of S. Miguel.

One of the points of greatest tourist interest is the viewpoint of Vista do Rei, where you'll make a mandatory stop because, in this place, you can see one of the 7 natural wonders of Portugal, the lake of Seven Cities lake.

Afterwards, you'll descend to the center of the parish of the Sete Cidades, located inside the caldera of the volcano, at the same time, you'll make other stops to observe closely the Lagoa de Santiago and another angle on the lake of the Sete Cidades in the belvedere of the Cerrado das Freiras. Enjoy the local environment with a short walk through the center of the parish.

Once left the parish of the Sete Cidades, you'll head towards the west zone of the island of S. Miguel until the viewpoint of the Escalvado, place where it is possible to see the village of Mosteiros and the Thermal Zone of Ferraria.
