Sete Cidades and Lagoa do Fogo tour

You'll begin this adventure moving towards the Central part of São Miguel, where you will stop at the Ceramic Factory, located in the city of Lagoa; here, you'll follow a guided tour inside of the factory and receive all information about the process of ceramic production, from the beginning to the end.

Next, go up to the second-highest point of the island of São Miguel, the viewpoint of Pico da Barrosa, see and get to know the mythical Fire Lake, the most beautiful and breathtaking Lake of the island of São Miguel for many.

Descend to Ribeira Grande City, where you'll make a stop to get to know the historical center of the second largest city of São Miguel; other stops will include the Caldeira Velha Natural Park, the Themarls of the Ribeira Grande and a tour of a liquor factory.

Around 1:00 pm you'll be offered a lunch based on Regional Cuisine typical dishes. After lunch, it is time to go to the west side of the island of São Miguel, to admire the beautiful landscape that the Seven Cities offers; here you will visit several small lagoons (Empadadas, Canário and Santiago), without forgetting the Seven Cities Lake, famous for its two different shades and for the viewpoint of Vista do Rei. Then, descend to the center of the Parish of the Seven Cities and get to know a little better this quiet and peaceful parish of São Miguel.

While returning to Ponta Delgada from the South of the island, you'll also stop at the Belvedere of Escalvado, a place that allows seeing Ferraria and the village of Mosteiros, as well as the islands of the Mosteiros. Finally, you'll discover one of the several pineapple plantations in the parish of Fajã de Baixo, a town near of Ponta Delgada.
