Day 2: Baku City tour

Pass By: Baku Old City, Neftchilar Ave, Baku 1000 Azerbaijan

- Baku City tour - You will be met by our guide and driver at your hotel to begin city tour in Baku, the capital and commercial hub of Azerbaijan. Start your walk in Icheri Sheher – the old part of the city. Visit Maiden Tower, Shirvan Shahs’ Palace, Caravanserai, and the market square with numerous art studios and souvenir stalls. Continue to the Memory Alley Shehidler Khiyabany that opens up a great panoramic view of Baku city. Further, you will explore 19-20th centuries architecture: Nizami Street, Fountain Square, Freedom Square.

- City tour continues with a visit to the Upland Park. Upland Park is located on a hill in the western part of the city. This is the best place to see the city and the Baku Bay. The architecture of the capital is very eclectic; it is a combination of different styles and influences such as Barocco, classicism and modern architecture, both Eastern and Western.

Day 3: Drive to Surakhani village

Pass By: Yanar Dag, Binagadi-Balakhany Highway, Baku 0125 Azerbaijan

- Drive to Surakhani village. The spread of Zoroastrianism in the territory of the modern Azerbaijan was due to spontaneously flammable sources of oil and gas. Therefore, in this area such a monument as the temple Ateshgah has survived.
- Excursion to Ateshgah. Fire Temple Ateshgah (literally Fire House) is located in 30 kilometers from the center of Baku, in the south-eastern outskirts of the Absheron Peninsula.

- Excursion to Yanardag. Next to this small village in the Absheron peninsula Mount Yanardagh is situated. The word "Yanar" in Azeri language means "burning", and "Dagh" - "mountain". And this is real a burning mountain - not metaphorically, but literally. Once in Absheron it had been a lot of places where natural gas coming out from the earth to the surface ignited spontaneously, but with the start of mass extraction of oil and gas in Absheron these places started to disappear.

Day 4: Visit the Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Lanscape.

Pass By: Gobustan Rock Art, 60 km South of Baku, Baku Azerbaijan

- In the morning, visit the Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Lanscape. Gobustan one of the most ancient human settlements in the world. Primitive people depicted the art on stones thousands years ago. Gobustan is very rich in archaeological monuments. The reserve has more than 6,000 rock engravings dating back between 5,000 – 40,000 years. The site also features the remains of inhabited caves, settlements and burials, all reflecting an intensive human use by the inhabitants of the area during the wet period that followed the last Ice Age, from the Upper Paleolithic to the Middle Ages.
- Visting Mud Volcanoes. According to the number of mud volcanoes Azerbaijan takes first place in the world. Approximately 350 of 800 existing mud volcanoes are found in Azerbaijan. Most of them are concentrated in Gobustan Region. (it depend on the weather, because in rainy weather, cars cannot go to the volcano)
