About this activity
Thanks for making plans to go sailing with us on the schooner Summer Wind! We sail from the Ritz-Carlton Dock. The closest landmark is the Rusty Scupper Restaurant at 400 Key Highway. There's a parking lot there, as well.

HOW TO FIND THE BOAT:

If you're at Rusty Scupper and facing the water, turn right. You'll see Water Taxi Stop #4. Walk past that and along the Promenade for about 5 minutes and you'll come to the next set of docks in front of the condo's. That's the Ritz-Carlton Dock. The Summer Wind will be on the end (you'll see our masts) and a crew member will meet you at the gate for boarding.

Enjoy a relaxing voyage aboard an authentic schooner. From the deck of the ship, take in the beauty of the city's skyline and admire the gorgeous water of the Inner Harbor. Experience the calming atmosphere of the harbor and the schooner as you sail through the water.

Make an unforgettable memory on this 1.5-hour sailing experience in Baltimore's Inner Harbor.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure time for boarding. The boat does leave on time.

The captain and boat were terrific. The boat was clean, there was nice music playing as we toured and the sailing was smooth. The captain is also very knowledgeable about the harbor and can point things out and tell you about them if you choose which we did. We did not know ahead of time that he would have refreshments on the boat, so we brought our own. The only thing I would change at all is that it was hard to find and not a great deal of communication ahead of time. So, we ended up buying our own drinks figuring we would get thirsty and stressed a little until we found the harbor office and they told us to stay there and the captain would come get us when it was time for the trip. Once we got on though, it was amazing and relaxing. I would highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful time! We had a group of 4 and everyone enjoyed the cruise. The harbor was very smooth and it was a gorgeous day for sailing. Captain Tom and first mate were very pleasant and answered all of our questions. They also pointed out points of interest along the harbor. I would highly recommend this sailing experience!

The sailing experience was very good. I had never sailed before at the age of 73, so I can not compare it to other sailing experiences. Captain Tom was both affable and knowledgeable as we peppered him with questions about what we were seeing around us. His recent college-grad Chinese crew member was likewise interesting. We enjoyed the sailing, and only regretted leaving my cap in the car and forgetting sun block.
