Pass By: Parkway Theater, Baltimore, Maryland
For our 2-2.5 hour tour, we will meet at the Greenmount Coffee Lab at Open Works Bmore, a maker space with a parking lot and coffeehouse. Don't miss the electronic photo booth on the south wall in the lobby (it's free!); a great way to commemorate your tour and the pic will be waiting in your email inbox. After guests have checked in, we will then walk to about 60 points of interest (rain or shine), seeing quite a lot of street art, but also learning the history of this often overlooked urban landscape. We will enjoy a walking a loop of about 2.5 miles with a small pit stop towards the end for refreshment before heading back to open works. On this walk, we will enjoy the alleyways, parks, and farms of the often underrated, but constantly surprising revitalized neighborhood of Station North Arts & Entertainment District. Locals and travelers alike will enjoy this very instagrammable look at a gem of a neighborhood. Depending on the size of the group and speed of walking the time for finishing might be slightly later. There are periodical trivia questions and easter eggs hidden along the way - be ready to get competitive and rewarded with candy!
