Crowfoot Glacier resembled the foot of a crow, with three large toes of ice hooked across the face of the mountain. However, by the middle of the century, the lowest toe had disappeared.

Bow Lake is the largest roadside lake on the Icefields Parkway.

Peyto Glacier and Lake are named for pioneer packer and guide Bill Peyto.
(As early as mid-August, there will be no access to Peyto lake.)
