Your snowshoes crunch on fresh powder as you hike past Marble Canyon's 40-metre deep gorge as you experience this fun version of Canadian winter hiking on an easy, mainly flat terrain. Marble Canyon is located just 45 minutes from Banff in neighbouring Kootenay National Park. Led by your friendly guide, search for snowshoe hare, moose and wolf tracks while exploring how the landscape is changing and animals are adapting.
After viewing the canyon and enjoying the freedom of stomping through the snow, your guide will share hot chocolate and make a sweet frozen dessert in the snow for you to try - delicious maple taffy.
This three-kilometer (1.86 miles) morning tour is suitable for all abilities and fitness levels and is perfect for those that have never been snowshoeing before.
