Day 1: Bangkok—Ayutthaya—Uthai Thani (320 KM)

Stop At: Idaytrip, 594/6 Asoke-Dindaeng Road, Dindaeng, Bangkok 10400 Thailand
Head towards Northern Thailand and discover amazing destinations along the way. Explore the ancient cities throughout your trip including Ayutthaya, Uthai Thani, Sukhothai, Chiang Rai, Chaing Mai and more. All with accommodations and transfers and meals* included. This 6-day tour combines attractive places and activities in various regions and is an excellent way to discover the essence of Thailand.

Pick up from the hotel and drive to Nakorn Chaisri River to board on a converted rice barge at Lampaya Temple. Enjoy approx. One hour river cruise see water vegetable plantations, water birds and the way of life of Thai people along the riverside.

Stop At: Historic City of Ayutthaya, Ayutthaya 13000 Thailand
Continue to Ayutthaya to visit the UNESCO's World Heritage ancient city. Ayutthaya was a former and by far the most extended working capital of Siamese Kingdom that existed from 1350 to 1767. Ayutthaya was friendly towards foreign traders, including Chinese, Vietnamese, Indians, Japanese and Persians, and later the Portuguese, Spaniard, Dutch, and French, permitting them to set up villages outside the walls of the capital, also called Ayutthaya. In the sixteenth century, it was described by foreign traders as one of the biggest and wealthiest cities in the East.

Stop At: Wat Tha Sung, 60 Moo 1 Nam Sum Subdistrict, Uthai Thani City 61000 Thailand
Then proceed to Uthai Thani to visit the Temple of Wat Tasung Temple, famous for its big and magical hall made of glasses. The big temple complex serves as the Buddhist meditation center.

Stop At: Sakae Krang River Walk, Northern Part, Uthai Mai, Mueang Uthai Thani District, Uthai Thani 61000, Thailand
More than just beautiful temples, the province centered in the small town with the river-side market offering local products and delicacies. Finishing your day with delicious dinner at Country Lake Nature Lodge where we overnight.

Day 2: Uthai Thani—Kamphaeng Phet—Sukhothai (300 KM)

Stop At: Tham Hup Pa Tat Cave, Thong Thin Uthai Thani Rd., Lan Sak Thailand
After a nice walk around the resort admiring nature and learning about the organic plantation, we commence another day full of great impression.

Still, in Uthai Thani, we travel back through time at the valley filled with the reminiscent of the Jurassic period. Walk inside the canyon of limestone and ancient plants.

Stop At: Kamphaeng Phet Historical Park, Pindamri, Kamphaeng Phet 62000 Thailand
Visit Wat Phra Kaew, a royal temple with the same name as the one in Bangkok. It is also a part of the UNESCO World Heritage site along with Sukhothai Historical Park
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Sukhothai Historical Park, Mueang Kao, Sukhothai 64210 Thailand
Founded in the 13th century, Sukhothai name translated "Dawn of Happiness." It was the first truly independent Thai Kingdom, which enjoyed a golden age under King Ramkamhaeng, credited with the creating of Thai alphabets.

Visit the Historical Park of Sukhothai, the first capital of Thailand and a must-see for all travelers. The magnificent temples and monuments of Sukhothai will leave you in awe. The highlight of this UNESCO's World Heritage site is the temple of Wat Mahathat and the temple of Wat Sri Chum.

Stop At: Wat Mahathat, Sukhothai Thailand
Walk around the temple ample with numerous monuments and Chedi. Structures in this temple were added over the course of several centuries, therefore house structures of several architectural styles including Lanna, Singhalese, Sukhothai and Mon Hariphunchai.

Day 3: Phrae—Payao—Chiang Rai (400 KM)

Stop At: Wat Phra That Su Thon Mongkhon Khiri, Ban huai Namphrik Mu 5, Tambon Den Chai, Den Chai Thailand
Take a morning road trip after breakfast to Phrae, visit Prathat Suthon Temple which boasts the beautiful Northern Thai style building. Teak wooden museum displaying rare antiques in the temple compound is a must-visit.

Stop At: Phra Tamnak Kwan Phayao and Phayao Fresh-water Fishery Station, Phahon Yothin Road, Tambon Wiang, Amphoe Mueang, Phayao City Thailand
Continue to Chiang Rai via Phayao with a short break at the Lake of Kwan Phayao, the most important freshwater fish habitat in the upper North which provides the livelihood of many of the local people. The surrounding scenery, particularly at dusk, is stunning.

Stop At: Wat Rong Khun, Lahaul-Spiti Pa O Don Chai Subdistrict, Chiang Rai 57000 Thailand
Continue to Chiang Rai, the city was built by King Meng Rai in 1262 and was a long period a center of Thai – Laotian Lanna Kingdom before defeated by the Burmese.

Stop at Wat Rong Kun Temple, very unconventional from the Buddhist Temple projected by a temporary artist who still builds different parts of very spectacular statues and buildings inside a complex, kind of fairy - tale style. Then drive ward to check-in at a hotel in Chiang Rai.

Day 4: Chiang Rai—Golden Triangle—Chiang Mai (210 KM)

Pass By: Chiang Saen - the old city walls, Chiang Rai Thailand
Early morning, breakfast at the hotel, afterward, drive to Chiang Saen, an ancient capital located on the bank of the Mekong River. The ancestors from South China built it, which moved towards the South and founded the first capital of the Lanna Kingdom (about years 900-1000 A.D).

Stop At: Golden Triangle, Sob Ruak Village, Chiang Saen 57150 Thailand
Proceed to the Golden Triangle, where Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar meet on the Mekong River, which was once supposed to be the center of the poppy cultivation in Thailand.
Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: House of Opium, Wiang, Chiang Saen 57150 Thailand
Visit the museum that aims to educate the people about Opium and its history.

Lunch.
Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Doi Suthep 50200 Thailand
Continue to drive to Chiang Mai and uphill to visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, the most famous and respected temple in Chiang Mai. After ascending its 306 steps up to the golden Chedi (you can also take a lift there), behold the stunning view over Chiang Mai and magical atmosphere of the temple and its shrines. Many Thai people visit this temple on the hill to pay respect and to make merit.

Day 5: Chiang Mai Day Excursions: Mae Sa Elephant Camp and Handicraft Village

Stop At: Maesa Elephant Camp, 119/9 Tapae Rd. Mae Sa Subdistrict, Mae Rim 50100 Thailand
Mae Sa Valley is our first destination (about 30 km from Chiang Mai). View elephants at work at Mae Sa Elephant Camp.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Mae Sa Orchid Farm, Chiang Mai Thailand
visit one of the biggest orchid farms of Chiang Mai. Lunch at local restaurant.
Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Umbrella Village - Bor Sang, 1014, Tambon Ton Pao Sankamphaeng, Bo Sang, San Kamphaeng 50130 Thailand
Famous handicraft area of the North to see silk weaving, wood carving, and umbrella making. The best place to shop for souvenirs.

The tour ends today.
