The important feature Wat Lokayasutharam is a huge reclining Buddha image, called Phra Bhuddhasaiyart, which faces to the east.
It was constructed of bricks and cement in the art style cf the Middle Ayutthaya Period. It is 37 meters long and 8 meters high. There are other impressive Reclining Buddha Images in Ayutthaya, but this seems to be the largest.

Wat Mahathat was one of Ayutthaya’s most important temples. It enshrined Buddha relics and was the seat of the Supreme Patriarch of Buddhism and thus the center of Buddhism in the Ayutthaya Kingdom.

Wat Phra Sri Sanphet is situated on the city island in Ayutthaya’s World Heritage park
in Pratu Chai Sub-district. It has been registered as a national historic site by the Fine
Arts Department since 5 March 1935. This monastery was the most important temple of
Ayutthaya and situated within the Grand Palace grounds. It served as a model for the
Temple of the Emerald Buddha in Bangkok.
