BANGKOK BICYCLE & BOAT TOUR 5-HOUR

Experience the Classical tour by cycling through Chinatown’s frenetic market environment. We take our bike through narrow alleyways and small side streets. Then allow classic long tail boats to transport us further into rural Bangkok. Discover why this city is often designated “Venice of the East” as our cruise introduces us to the charming canal lifestyle of Thais, much as it existed in bygone eras. Scenes of classical wooden-framed homes on stilts, mothers doing their daily washings, and kids splashing away the tropical heat will captivate us with their innocence and congeniality.

Following this pleasant break, our cycle tour continues through luscious green belts as we explore the forgotten plantations of this great city. Surprising not in their beauty, but in their proximity to the sprawling metropolis, this tranquil ride will leave us pleasantly refreshed for our equally enthralling journey back to Chinatown.

Itinerary

7:00am / 1:00pm Meet up at Co Van Kessel Bangkok Tour Office. Short briefing about the tour,

select appropriate bicycles according to participants' preferences

7:15am / 1:15pm Start tour: Explore Chinatown, cycle through backstreets, passing by markets and local Buddhist Temples

8:15am / 2:15pm Cross the Chao Phraya River by ferry to Thonburi, third capital of Thailand

8:45am / 2:45pm Take a 30 minute long-tail boat ride through local canals. Take a glimpse into the life of people living along the canal and a mix of new and old Thai architecture

9:15am / 3:15pm Disembark from the long-tail boat, continue your bicycle exploration through lush green plantations

10:15am / 4:15pm Stop for a local meal in a rural area

11:15am / 5:15pm Take another long-tail boat ride through the canals that will bring you back to the city, cycle back to Co Van Kessel Bangkok Tour office

12:00pm / 6:00pm Tour ends
