About this activity
9.00 am Starting from the meeting point the we take you on a Bangkok adventure.
9.30 am Visit old Chinatown Bangkok sights give another perspective of Bangkok. This route is less travelled and very rich in history.
10.30 am Visit Pak Khlong Flower Market is the biggest fresh flower market in the city. This is where flower traders from all over the country convene at the wee hours of each day to unload their freshly cut blossoms in bulk. The kaleidoscope of bright, blooming colors, coupled with a symphony of fragrant smells, from roses, daisies, chrysanthemums, indigenous orchids, and many more, is just amazing. The earlier you arrive, the better, as the market seems to wind down soon after the first few morning hours. Our guide will let you try some local street food.
11.30 am Visit Wat Saket or the Temple of the Golden Mount, Bangkok, is an ancient temple dating back to the Ayutthaya Period. Previously called Wat Sakae, the name was changed to Wat Saket during the reign of King Rama I. The Golden Mount, built under the rule of King Rama V, is 77 meters tall and at the top reside many of Buddhist relics found at Kapilavastu ancient city.
Some other interesting things in this Bangkok temple are the many Buddha images, the temple hall, the pagoda, the scripture hall, and the Sri Maha Bodhi tree. This is another place you should not miss when you visit Bangkok.
13.00 pm Arrive meeting point.
