Built in 1782, it was the home of the Thai King, the Royal court and the administrative seat of government for over a century. With beautiful architecture that have been carefully preserved and maintained, it continues to awe visitors with it's intricate detail.

Stop At: Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew), Bangkok

Wat Phra Kaew is located in the Grand Palace complex, and holds plenty of cultural significance. Considered to be the most important Buddhist temple in Thailand, it is located in the historic center of Bangkok. Located within the temple is Phra Kaew Morakot, the Emerald Buddha, a highly revered Buddha image carved from a single block of jade.

Stop At: Temple of the Reclining Buddha (Wat Pho), Bangkok

Wat Pho, or Temple of the Reclining Buddha, is known for the huge and ornately decorated Reclining Buddha which takes up an entire hall. In addition, it is also known as the birth place for traditional Thai massage.

Stop At: The Golden Mount (Wat Saket), Bangkok

The Temple of the Golden Mount is an ancient temple dating back to the Ayutthaya Period. The Golden Mount itself is located at the top and reside many of Buddhist relics found at Kapilavastu ancient city. In addition to the wealth of cultural and historic information, it also offers a stunning view of the surroundings!

Stop At: Giant Swing, Bangkok

The Giant Swing is a tall, red Brahman religious structure that attracts the attention of almost anyone. Today, it is a structure that looks like a monument of sorts, but back in the day, during the Brahman Festival, groups of men would use the teak poles to swing up to try to get a bag of gold coins that would be hung at around 50 feet high. But due to injuries and even death, the rite was cancelled in 1935.

Pass By: Tha Chang Pier, Bangkok

From Tha Chang Pier, take a longtail boat cruise down the Chao Phraya river towards Asiatique, and see landmarks like Wat Arun, the Royal Thai Navy dockyard, and the Royal Barges Museum.

Stop At: Asiatique The Riverfront, Bangkok

Upon Reaching Asiatique, mingle with tourists and locals alike as everyone walks around the various stalls for local eats. In addition, there are various shops near by to browse as well.
