Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Nouvo City Hotel - โรงแรมนูโว ซิตี, 2 Samsen Rd, Khwaeng Ban Phan Thom, Phranakorn, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10200, Thailand

Forget your guidebook — the real stuff comes from the mouths of the locals! Explore some famous landmarks as well as hidden gems on this Bangkok day tour that takes you through the city by boat and on foot.

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Chao Phraya River, 780/488 Charoen Krung Road, Bang Kho Laem, Bangkok 10120 Thailand

You’ll begin this Bangkok tour by walking to the pier, where you’ll board a longtail boat down the Chao Phraya River, also known as the River of Kings. The name of the river perfectly reflects this part of the tour; you’ll feel like royalty on your relaxing journey! This river is also the reason why Bangkok is known as the ‘Venice of the East,’ and you’ll explore this nickname further as you glide through the network of khlongs, or canals. Many of the khlongs have been filled in over the years and converted into roads. These roads have turned into little Thai communities, and as you swoop through the waters you’ll discover insights into these neighbourhoods. This area of Bangkok feels like a world away from the busy streets and chaos, and a welcome break from the bustling city centre!

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: The Grand Palace, Na Phra Lan Rd, Maharaj Pier next to Wat Phra Kaeo Temple Complex, Bangkok Thailand

You’ll continue by heading over to the Grand Palace. Strolling through the palace grounds feels like walking through an Asian version of Alice in Wonderland — the buildings are so beautiful they almost don’t feel real. But bet your bottom dollar, they’re real alright! Your local guide will tell you all about the history behind the palace and the most sacred Buddhist temple in Thailand, Wat Phra Kaew. This place is considered to be the spiritual centre of the nation, making it a visit that you cannot afford to miss.

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Wat Phra Chetuphon (Wat Pho), 2 Sanam Chai Rd, Khwaeng Phra Borom Maha Ratchawang, Khet Phra Nakhon, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10200, Thailand

From one beautiful temple to another, you’ll move on to Wat Pho, another temple that is integral to the Buddhist religion in Thailand. It’s home to the famous golden reclining Buddha and is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage. This is one of the most popular things to do in Bangkok, and with our local guide to take your through the temples, you’ll hear all the secret stories and local knowledge about the place.

Your tour will finish up at Wat Pho, from where you can continue to explore, or your local guide will be happy to give you directions back to your accommodation. This tour shows you a truly unique side of the city that you won’t find on any of the other day tours in Bangkok, and it gives you the opportunity to visit both famous sights and hidden spots, exploring them through the eyes of a local.

This was not my first trip to Thailand and I have been on plenty of tours so my feedback comes from experience in Thailand. For the price of this tour, Bangkok Grand Palace and River of Kings CanaI Cruise, I expected more. Catching the local bus and walking were fine, but for the high price I am unclear as to why a Tuk-Tuk was not part of the package. Additionally, this tour lacked ‘perks’ I’ve experienced with other tour packages ( that cost less)...cold clothes to cool off with, free water at designated points, and a sampling of local food. They were not mentioned but would have made the tour more complete. There was nothing on this tour that made it especially memorable (with exception of my friendly and personable guide). Tourists-Save yourself the money and take a Tuk-Tuk to the Grand Palace and right next door to the Temple of the Reclining Buddha. Additionally, you can get a canal cruise (located just opposite the Grand Palace) super cheap. Recommendations for Tour operators: Know you have stiff competition in Bangkok and give your customers an experience! Start with water and a snack!

This tour covers a lot of ground and is very tiring due to the heat and the crowds. Make sure that you take plenty of water. Our guide was very informative. Make sure that you allow plenty of time to get to the meeting point because of the Bangkok traffic.

This tour was so incredible! There were only 3 of us on the tour it was so delightful. This was our first day in Bangkok and it felt like we had a personal tour guide telling us everything we needed to know. The knowledge of the temples were exceptional and overall just a wonderful experience.
