About this activity
Sawasdee! Meet with our Guide at your hotel in Ayutthaya.

Proceed to Wat Mahathat. Wat Mahathat, “the temple of the Great Relic” was one of the most important temples in the Ayutthaya Kingdom. Located on the historical island the large monastery features a huge central prang, a very large principal Viharn and Ubosot and a great number of subsidiary Chedis and Viharns.

Visit to Ayutthaya's Grand Royal Palace once occupied around a fourth of the island, north of the Si Sanphet temple. The palace buildings were built mostly of wood, so they were completely leveled when the Burmese sacked and burned the city in the eighteenth century.

Then we visit to Ayutthaya Historical Park rest on the island framed by three significant rivers: Chao Phraya, Lopburi and Pasak, the historic temples, palaces and remaining architectures of the ancient kingdom of Ayutthaya are one of Thailand’s most precious historical sites. The 715-acre area has been listed the UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1991 as it portrays the heydays of one of the largest kingdoms in IndoChina history.

Lunch at Pra Norm Chicken Noodle Restaurant or similar.

After lunch, we visit to Wang Chang Ayuttaya or Ayutthaya Elephant Camp in Thailand, Ayutthaya Elephant the corral was called the corral was renamed to the prosperity of the owner and location. WANG Ayutthaya, the corral was supported by the Department of Fine Arts. Tourism Authority of Thailand By the elephant was that an identity crisis. North was forced to eat amphetamines to keep hold. Selling elephants into the central and east. Chang and many died down WANG Ayutthaya Elephant Foundation and the corral.

Visit to Wat Yai Chai Mongkol (or Mongkhon) is located a few kilometers southeast of Ayutthaya (island). You'll have to cross the Pridithamrong Bridge out of the city. It obviously is one of the major temples in the Ayutthaya area, and both tourists and local worshippers visit the Wat. Logistically, visiting this temple can be well combined with a visit to Wat Phanan Choeng.

Then visit to Ayothaya Floating Market in the old city of Ayutthaya which make a nice change from just visiting old temple ruins all day. Now you can break up your time to make a more balanced day trip from Bangkok. Earlier I visited Ayutthaya Klong Sa Bua Floating Market which is to the north of the old city.

Dinner at Ruen Thai Siam Restaurant or similar.

Return to your hotel.
