About this activity

• You will meet your guide at New Road Guest House, Charoen Krung 36 at 08.00hrs for short tour briefing. The tour starts at 8.30 hrs.

Then walk to the sky train station for boarding the sky train for a short ride to Wongwian Yai station to connecting with the Train which will already leave you with a feel of a day beyond the beaten track when you walk through local neighbourhoods to get to the station where the train ride starts. If time admits, you will get a local snack and coffee from the local market stalls around the station.

Jumping on the train as it leaves the station. You will almost feel that you drive through the kitchens and living rooms of the locals. On the way, you will see the big buildings of Bangkok become smaller in the distance until rice fields and houses on stilts surround you. With open eyes you can lean back and enjoy the scenic ride.

When the train comes to a stop, you will literally have arrived in the middle of the Mahachai fresh market. Your guide will walk you through some of the small alleys and take you to a famous restaurant where you will be treated to some of the freshest and best seafood around.

The tour ends at Saphan Taksin Pier (close to BTS Sky Train station) in Bangkok. You must make your own way back to your hotel.
