About this activity
Visit Thonburi, the old capital of Thailand, through the Chao Phraya River. Travel on a fun long-tail boat along the river and see from the water the locals' daily lives and routines from both sides of the canal. And how knows, maybe we'll encounter a few mobile food vendors, who have their charcoal grill rigged up in the boat itself and are busy cooking while paddling around the klongs with admirable dexterity!

Wave hello to the locals as you cruise around the klongs and experience the friendly smiles and vibes from this community.

During this ride we will pass must-see landmarks of Bangkok like The Memorial Bridge, The Flower Market, The Royal Navy Headquarters, many temples, shrines and restaurants.

One of our stops will be at Baan Silapin or The Artist's House, a few hundreds years old house turned out into a gallery with local artwork, photography and a puppet theater. It is one of Bangkok's hidden gems!

You will be amazed at the 300 years old stupa placed in the center of the house. Here you can taste a traditional Thai coffee or Thai tea with condensed milk from a local coffee shop.

Visit Wat Arun also known as the Temple of Dawn, one of the most beautiful temples in Thailand and very famous for it's central prang (Khmer-style tower) over 70 metres high, decorated with pieces of coloured glass and Chinese porcelain. Climb to the top to enjoy an breathtaking view of the Chao Phraya river and the neighborhood.

And here's our other ride! A tuk tuk thay will take us to Wat Rakhang Kositaram (Temple of the bells) also known as Wat Luangphor Toh which was built in the Ayutthaya period. I'll tell you all about its story surrounding the bells and plenty of other local insights surrounding this magical temple.

And now it's time to move on to the Wang Lang market - a famous market for eating and shopping, full of street cart vendors. This market is a locals' favorite! Enjoy a delicious local meal here to keep the energy going and to keep browsing for unique souvenirs.

To finish with a bang, head up to the Wang Lang Pier and take in the view and this beautiful place's surroundings.

After your visit it is option to pay a visit to the Grand Palace or Wat Pho.
