Ayutthaya is located 50 miles (80 km) from Bangkok, the actual capital of Thailand. You will be picked up at the hotel lobby at 7am by Car or minivan to visit the ruined temples dating back hundreds of years and see the venerated statues of the Buddha.
Once the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Siam before it was sacked and razed by the Burmese, Ayutthaya was a place of great importance. Visit Wat Yai Chai Mongkol, Where you can see the Big Pagoda, the magnificent Wat Maha That, the royal monastery where the most important monks of the kingdom of Ayutthaya once lived. There you will see the beautiful faces of Buddha wrapped in the roots of ancient trees and the biggest reclining Buddha in Ayutthaya (Wat Lokayasutha). After, you will have lunch at a restaurant near the river. After lunch, the boat will pick you up to start the boat trip. On the boat you will see the local life near the canal, the Palace of the Queen and the Temple Ankor wat stye (Wat Chai wattanaram).
The boat trip will finish at Wat Na Phra Mane, a temple located to the North of the Royal Island, of vital importance in the history of Ayutthaya. At the end of the day you will witness the most beautiful sunset in Wat Chai wattanaram before returning to your Bangkok hotel at 6:30pm.
