COOKING CLASS - Live Tapas Dinner
MENU • Appetizers Pickled garlic with dried herbs, mix of Spanish olives and typical aperitif drink • Tapas "Pá amb tomaquet", the most traditional Catalan appetizer consisting of bread, tomato, fine olive oil and fleur de sel (the best salt!) served with locally sourced organic cheese "Tortilla de patatas", the classic Spanish slow cooked omelette made with the best organic ingredients Vegetables rolls (or roasted vegetables) served with Romesco sauce- a Catalan must! Pintxo de sobrasada (a slice of bread covered with a traditional Mallorca spreadable sausage, melted in the oven and served with sunflower honey and rosemary infused olive oil) (veggie option) Fresh seafood of the day, sauteed with finely chopped garlic and parsley Sauteed Pimientos del Padrón, a mild green Spanish pepper, served with fleur de sel • Dessert Homemade seasonal fruit sorbet • Drinks: You will enjoy red wine, white wine, rosé wine, champagne and digestive. It is very accessible via public transport. ***** Ever wondered how the Tapas were made? Come discover it in this interactive evening, where no food will be cooked until all the guests have arrived! For this "live" Tapas dinner, we've made a selection of the most typical Tapas that Catalan & Spanish cuisine have to offer, and we will invite you to cook them "live" with us. We'll start by presenting and preparing all of the food together during a 2-hour fully hands-on cooking experience. Then we'll start the dinner, during which we'll invite you to cook all of the dishes with us. This special setting of interactive Tapas dinner encourages conversations around the table and will be a unique opportunity to taste a wide variety of Mediterranean flavours. Note that our events are limited to 9 guests so that we can make each and every evening a unique and intimate experience. All the products used for the event are of high quality and come from small local producers. Every time we have a day off, we go in the Catalan countryside to discover artisanal products from small producers, and the best of it appears in our cooking experiences. Vegetables and fruits are delivered to us by a local organic producer, seafood is freshly bought from the market on the same day, bread is from the best bakery of Barcelona, cheese and charcuterie are from a small local farm. We also use premium olive oils, all of them first press, cold press and organic as well as various types of gourmet sea salts. Our menu is constantly changing and always follows the seasons. It consists of plenty of small dishes (Tapas), all of them issued from traditional Catalan & Spanish recipes coming from our families. Most of them are made from vegetables and a few of them include either meat or seafood. The menu can be influenced by guests preferences/food restrictions so be sure to let us know in advance about it. We've successfully adapted all of our menus to vegetarians/vegans/gluten-free/lactose-free/halal and kosher requests up until today! No allergies or preferences? Book the event without any request and we’ll come up with a unique seasonal menu! Last but not least, when entering in our cooking space, you will discover a very particular design, as we are also passionate about interior decoration and as we care about the environment. Indeed, the decoration is made with recycled, handmade or second-hand furniture. Note also that we provide "uncontaminated" food and environment to our guests: thus we use only natural cleaning products.
