The tour guide was good at the pickup and the van was clean. But he gave absolutely no guiding. We were on our own. He did explain the priorities in Montserrat, but that is it, very little history or back ground. On the drive to Montserrat he said noting. Did not point out any of the sites or give background on Catalonia. On Montserrat we were on our own again. At Sagrada Família, we were left at the entrance with tickets, no guide tour. To say it was very disappointing, is an understatement. I gave two stars because he was on time and the van was nice. The rest, one of the worst tours I have been on ever. I am thinking of not using Viatour ever again. Where is your quality control?

The tour guide was very good. However, we ran into a number of problems. First, the date was changed by the provider. Then we received 3 emails, each telling us who our guide would be and what time we'd be picked up; each one with a different guide and different time. The tour was for Montserrat, Sagrada Familia, the gothic quarter and a panoramic view of Barcelona. Montserrat and Sagrada Familia were great. Then the guide was stopped (randomly I think) by the police and we were sent home by taxi. So no tour of Barcelona. So, I think the problem was the guide was not official and you should beware of the provider.

We wouldn't have been able to learn as much with a large group. Our guide Karles knew the area as a native should. We also loved the fact that we were picked up at our hotel. We highly recommend this tour and wish to express our gratitude to Karles for giving us a ride for our lives.

This was a small group tour. In the morning my husband and I went to Montserrat Monastery with a family of 4 from the United States and 2 ladies from Australia (total 8 pax). I wish there was more time to explore the Monastery but as it turned out, time was tight. There was a one-hour queue to see the Black Madonna. To join the queue means we had to miss taking the cable car to the top of the mountain. My husband and I chose not to wait in line for the Black Madonna. But on return from the mountain top, we missed the boys choir because the church was already packed. If you want to enjoy the Monastery and its surrounds, I suggest you take the tour on its own and with more time to spend at the Monastery. In the afternoon, my husband I were joined by two other ladies from my own country, Singapore. The tour in the afternoon was to Sagrada Familia and we were briefed before entering the church. In the church we were left to tour on our own. Then Arnaud met us afterwards and we took a walk around the vicinity. Overall, informative and good.

Mariusz ( not sure I spelled his name correctly -- my apologies) was great. He was on time with pickups, got us to destinations on time, and filled our day with more of Barcelona that can typically be spent in two or three days! His knowledge of Catalan history superb. He gave us an incredible amount of free time for a tour so we'll organized and punctual.(Showed the best ice cream places in the Gothic area.) Only three other couples so this was a small tour that afforded itself with flexibility. Time and resources very well spent. Would go with In and Out Barcelona Tours again, particularly with this guide!

We enjoyed our full day tour to Monserrat, la Familia, atop Montjuic and around Barcelona with Andre. He filled the tour with so much information and history, like filling all the blank spaces with vibrant color. We were totally pleased with our tour and Andre, our guide!

We went to Montserrat first and beat the crowd for sure. Beautiful place with a lot of history. Back to Sagrada Familia and a audio tour. What an extremely well thought out and designed church. Putting Christ first always makes me feel great.

This was a great semi private tour of Barcelona. The pluses were Montserrat and a terrific dinner at a family restaurant in Barcelona. The disappointments were not being able to get in the Sagrada Familia, because the tour guide was not aware of the time frame. Also, there was no walking tour in the Gothic quarter, but more of a riding tour of other sites in Barcelona. But it was a great day, because our guide was very friendly and informative.
