Casa Amatller theatrical tour with a glass of cava
Casa Amatller, an emblematic work by the architect Puig i Cadafalch, is one of the most exceptional buildings in Catalan modernist architecture in Barcelona and one of the most complete house-museums in Catalonian modernism.
Do not miss the great opportunity to explore it with this enjoyable visit, during which the owners of the house, Antoni Amatller Costa and his daughter Teresa, will accompany you to discover every corner of their residence, sharing stories of their travels around the world, the history of their chocolate factory and their friends. Without a doubt, it will be a very original way to get to know the house and relive its past. At the end, you can enjoy a glass of cava in the lobby.
Located on the Block of Discord, next to Casa Batlló by Antoni Gaudí and Casa Lleo i Morera by Domènech i Montanter, Casa Amatller is an authentic treasure hidden in the heart of the city that preserves all the splendor and essence of the beginning of the 20th century, thanks to the conservation of all its original furniture and decoration, as a result of an extensive and careful restoration.
Designed in the year 1898 by the chocolate industrialist Antoni Amatller, who made his fortune introducing methods of industrial production in the family chocolate company 'Chocolates Amatller'. Today Casa Amatller is owned by the Amatller Institute of Hispanic Art Foundation, a center for research and dissemination of Hispanic art history.
