CISTER ROUTE AND WINE EXPERIENCE

It will take around 1 hour to go to Santes Creus, one of the three cistercian monasteries in Catalonia is one of the largest and best preserved Cistercian monastic ensembles that we can visit today. Founded in 1168, protected by kings and nobility, became a center for spiritual studies and colonization of the territory. The church, sober and stunning architecture, has the royal tombs of Peter the Great and of James II and his wife Blanca of Anjou, as well as the great admiral Roger de Llúria. We can also admire the stained glass windows and Gothic Cistercian and a Baroque altarpiece of Joseph Tremulles. 

After the visit will be time for lunch (not included in price).

Then our driver-guide will take you to the Penedès wine region for the winery visit, where a guide from the cellar will explain and show you all process of the wine or cava, from the grapes until the bottle. Enjoy a nice wine or cava tasting at the end of the visit! Cheers!!

The cellars we visit could be for example: Parés Baltà, Llopart, Codorniu, Torres or others according his availability.

Once the visit will be done, it’s time to come back to Barcelona (drop off at hotel, port or airport is included in price).
