About this activity

Enjoy this intensive tour of the five most representative neighborhoods of Barcelona, designed for travelers who wish to fully understand our beautiful city. During this 4-hour experience you'll explore the most emblematic landmarks of Gràcia, el Raval, el Gòtic, l’Eixample, and la Barceloneta.

The tour follows specialized routes designed to avoid traffic where possible, making them safe for guests of all ages. Experience the comfort and ease of peddling through this wonderful Spanish city and enjoy an exclusive look at the places touristic buses cannot access. The expert local guide will take you on a thrilling journey to some of the city’s greatest treasures, stopping often to explain the history and culture of the Catalan capital.

The tour begins in the Gothic quarter and el Born, where you will learn about Barcelona’s rich past and Gothic architecture. The guide will lead you to hidden plazas and charming corridors, where you will hear fascinating stories of local culture and history.

Don’t miss out on bustling Raval, an area characterized by its rich blend of cultures and ethnicities, and its budding modern art scene. Originally formed as a result of the extension of the medieval walls, Raval has transformed from a former red light district popular among sailors to a colorful and hip local hangout full of great bars, restaurants and theaters.

Cross over to the Eixample district to learn about Barcelona’s Modernist architecture, most notably on display along the famous shopping avenue Passeig de Gràcia. Eixample was Barcelona´s 19th-century solution to the overcrowding of the medieval city. It was also Gaudi´s favorite neighborhood and you will find many of his most famous masterpieces here, including the Casa Batlló, la Pedrera and Sagrada Familia, all of which are considered UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Discover the bohemian Gràcia neighborhood, which was once a small autonomous village independent from the city.Enjoy the laid-back Barcelona lifestyle in the relaxed environment of this district, known for its beautiful architecture, picturesque plazas and sunny terraces full of people and life.

The final stop will be in la Barceloneta, a former fishing village where the historic quarter of the city meets the Mediterranean Sea and which still maintains its original style. Here you will discover an exceptional mix of lovely chiringuitos (beach bars), authentic working-class buildings and restaurants specialized in fresh seafood. Try the pescaditos fritos (small fried fish served with a wedge of fresh lemon).
