Torres Wine Cellars Tour
Spend a full day delving into Catalonia’s rich and unique heritage on this cultural excursion outside of Barcelona. After meeting your expert guide and boarding the comfy coach, you’ll arrive at the lush Penedès region where you’ll explore the picturesque vineyards of the family owned Torres winery on a small train. Then, head below to the ancient cellars to learn about the centuries old techniques of wine making and savour two delicious Spanish reds. Next you’ll journey up to the craggy peaks of Montserrat, home to a historic monastery that has attracted Christian pilgrims for centuries. Step inside this majestic basilica and see the famous Black Madonna - make sure to also sample the liquor made by the monastery monks! You’ll then enjoy three hours of free time for lunch, walking the nature trails, visiting the audio-visual museum and whatever else takes your fancy. Your final stop is the old fishing village of Sitges, now a sunny beach resort. Take a walking tour with your guide and relax on the pristine beaches before boarding the coach back to Barcelona.
