If stepping of the Monumental Metro Station at the purple line (L2) you'll see the Monumental Bullfighting Plaza.
Although bullfighting is vetoed in Catalunya do to the slaughter of animals as a "sport"; the plaza has been remodeled now, portraying a beautiful facade of what was the architectural styles of the last century. It's now been turned into an event venue.
