You will be welcome to the tour with a welcome drink in a Gastronomic Center created under the slow food philosophy and open to offer experiences to Foodies and travelers who visit Barcelona.

Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: Las Ramblas, La Rambla, 08002 Barcelona Spain

Your food specialist guide will lead you through Barcelona's most famous street, La Rambla. From here you will go to La Boqueria, the city’s famous food market, which offers an array of fresh produce including fruits and vegetables, seafood, cheese and any type of meat imaginable.

This is an emblematic street and a must-see for any visitor to Barcelona. Its central promenade is lined with flower stalls and kiosks, while the sides are home to buildings such as the Gran Teatre del Liceu theatre, the Palau de la Virreina palace and La Boquería market.

This is a street which is teeming with life and colour, where a central pedestrianised promenade offers the chance to stroll among kiosks, flower stalls and a wide range of shops and businesses. The avenue extends for a length of a little over one kilometre; it begins in the Plaça de Catalunya and connects to the statue of Columbus. It is known by various different names along its length: the section nearest the Plaça de Catalunya is the La Rambla de Canaletes, followed by La Rambla dels Estudis, and ending with La Rambla de las Flores or Sant Josep. The street is very popular with both tourists and with locals, and always has a lively atmosphere. It is a magnet for numerous street artists who, together with the other passers-by, make Las Ramblas a microcosm of Barcelona life which is well worth a special visit. Its origins date from the 18th century, when it was laid out following the medieval walls of Barcelona. Today it is the site of important buildings such as the Palau de la Virreina and the Gran Teatre del Liceu. It also has access to the main entrance of the popular market known as La Boquería.

Where La Rambla meets the sea, we find the Mirador de Colom, a unique opportunity to admire this unique, green artery of pedestrians from the air.

Duration: 5 minutes

Stop At: Mercat de la Boqueria, La Rambla, 91, 08001 Barcelona Spain

You will enjoy a special tasting of traditional products in different stalls at the famous Boqueria market; Iberian Ham, the best in the world and 2 traditional cheeses

La Boqueria is the most famous market in Barcelona worldwide. It is located in the center of the city of Barcelona (Las Ramblas). Discover it!

La Rambla's history is the Boqueria Market's history. The evolution from a past of peddlers to a modern and charming present, full of colour and life. The market is a metaphor for Barcelona's life, a human river that is the delight for those who like watching.

The first of Barcelona's local markets was opened on Saint Joseph's day, on the 19th of March 1840, after four years of work on the land that was up until then occupied by Saint Joseph's convent. However, the history goes back a good few years before, because on the site on Rambla where the market is today, there were already peddlers selling meat in the thirteenth century.

Marquis Campo Sagrado, Catalonia's general captain, started to establish the rules for this travelling market in an area that became a large square after the convent was gone. With time the Boqueria Market of Barcelona transformed itself in a modern market. It incorporated the gas illumination and the metal cover was finished in 1914. This metal cover as well as protecting food, sellers and buyers, gives character to the market. Nowadays, the third and fourth generation of sellers proudly show the oldest and most complete food market of Barcelona. They offer us vegetables, meat, fish and thousands of other products in stalls with great charm and imaginative presentation. Boqueria Market is a space full of life, history and unquestionable architectural value.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Gothic Quarter (Barri Gotic), Mediterranean Seafront to Ronda de Sant Pere, Ciutat Vella, 08002 Barcelona Spain

You'll continue through the Gothic Quarter, where you will discover the architecture, atmosphere, language and gastronomy that are unique to Spain, and some of the gourmet shops which are over 100 years old. You sill stop at a specialty store in Iberian Ham, the best of the best, where you will try this mouth watering cured meat.

The tour will stop at two restaurants offering a wide selection of local, delicious tapas.

You will finish our tour full of great food, tradition, good wine, good conversation and have a better understanding of the Spanish and Catalan culture, history, and how to live like a local

The Gothic Quarter is one of the most famous landmarks in Barcelona. Located in the heart of the old city, this Barcelona neighborhood features a fusion of buildings dating from Roman times to the 20th century. Welcome to one the most interesting places to visit in Barcelona.

The Gothic quarter is an area teeming with alleyways and squares in the centre of Barcelona, where the presence of palaces, houses and Gothic churches reveals the city's medieval past.

It is one of the most attractive parts of Barcelona, and its streets abound in medieval buildings such as the palaces of the Town Hall and the Generalitat (the Catalan Regional Government), and the Gothic churches of Santa María del Pi and Sant Just y Pastor. It also contains the Jewish quarter, comprising a network of narrow streets and where part of its former synagogue can still be seen today. Its streets are arranged around various squares, of which the most interesting are those of Sant Jaume, el Rei and la Reial. The first is the political heart of Barcelona, and the site of the town hall and the Palau de la Generalitat building. The architectural ensemble in Plaça del Rei square offers arguably the finest examples of mediaeval constructions in Barcelona, with the Palau Reial Major, part of the old Roman wall, the Palau del Lloctinent (Deputy's Palace) and the City History Museum. Finally La Reial is an exceptionally lovely porticoed square and a very popular spot –particularly in the evening– thanks to its numerous cafés and bars. This neighbourhood has been the heart of the city since Roman times, and in fact is the site of the Roman necropolis (Villa de Madrid square), while very nearby it is still possible to see the remains of the Roman temple of Augustus.

This was really fun! Our guide was terrific and we walked all over, eating and drinking. We felt safe and learned a lot. Our group was a very manageable size and we enjoyed meeting the other folks on the tour. Food was delicious.

We booked the Tapas Evening Walking Tour and we were very happy with how the tour turned out. We had a very light lunch in preparation for this tour and that was a good decision as there was plenty of food on the tour. Our guide was Sebastian and he was great! He gave us just the right mix of food, culture and excersise! We tried tapas I would not otherwise order if I was on my own. Overall great tour and I highly recommend it!

Nico was a very informative and welcoming guide. I was travelling by myself and was welcomed by the group. It was a great way to be introduced to Barcelona and get to taste some of the local tapas and taste some great wine. Would definitely recommend for solo or group travellers.

Tour guide sebastian was very nice and friendly. Met some great people from around the world. Enjoyed the market but felt the food was not great. Lots of sweets and would have liked more authentic Spanish food and restaurant exposure.

Great experience and learned a lot about the food and culture of Barcelona. The guide was excellent and went at the participants pace and did not try to rush the tour. The Tapas was very good as well as the different wine and beer sampled. I would take this tour again.

This tour was only ok. The tour had the potential to be great. It started at La Boqueria, the citys best-known food market. We liked the market so much we went back the next day on our own for lunch. The rest of the tour was not good. We went to two completely empty restaurants and went to an olive oil and candy shop which had nothing to do with tapas. Our guide talked a lot about the politics of some political prisoners in Barcelona. We even ended up at a political rally for the prisoners which was uncomfortable. The tour ended at the second restaurant where the food was not explained, we were told to just go pick three pre-made things from the counter. Everyone immediately left after the food was eaten. Not worth your money.
