We ended up being a small group of four and our wonderful, Laura, had to give the entire tour in English and Spanish. We had plenty of time to see everything we really wanted to see. The wines at Torres were really good and our guide there was very knowledgeable. I personally would have preferred more time in Montserrat to walk a bit more and less time at Sitges but for the masses it is a good blend of all.
This was my second time in Barcelona and I booked this tour to discover a bit more from the surroundings. This tour was just amazing, we have had a great time with our guide Daniela. First of all we went to the spectacular Montserrat, this is a must-see place. Afterwards we stopped in the Torres winery to hear the successful story of this family and of course to do a wine tasting. And we finished our day in the town of Sitges walking through the narrow streets of the city centre and overlooking the Mediterranean sea. I highly recommend this tour!
I don't think this trip was worth the money, sorry. We started out with one tour guide, a younger gentleman who sounded/looked like he was very knowledgeable, but then switched to an older gentleman because our group was one person larger than intended. He was not as diligent as the first guide. We arrived at the winery first and he was very unclear with directions and/or where to go. It felt VERY rushed and I didn't feel like I learned anything. He also barked at a fellow traveler to hurry up because we needed to move faster! On the way up to Torres he was giving us background information, but it was hard to follow because he was doing half a sentence in English and half a sentence in Spanish. It was really hard to follow seeing as 14/15 of us were English speakers and it was hard for the Spanish speaker to follow too. He used this method the whole time. When we got to Montserrat he rushed us in, spoke quickly and we had one hour of free time. Barely enough to find lunch, use our vouchers for a liquor tasting and entry ticket before we were rushed back to the bus to head over to Sitges. It was also quite disconcerting when he kept asking is everyone here?? and how many people do we have??. It was rather disappointing, wish we had kept the first tour guide.
