This popular tour combines the best of the two worlds that Penedes has to offer; Great Wine & Cava!
After the morning pick up, we will drive through this beautiful region which is filled with vineyard and wineries. I will first take you to one of my favorite wineries which produces Still wine.
This charming family-run winery is surrounded by vineyards and is truly a charming and beautiful place. They have specialized them self in making great organic Still wine (red and white), and has won several awards over the years for their wines.
We​ will start our tour in this very old winery where the owner will show us around. You will be explained how wine is made, from picking of the grapes to the bottling. We will then go out into their beautiful vineyards that are overlooking the Montserrat mountain and the Penedes region.
This of course will open your appetite for some great tasting to follow!
This winery has a beautiful garden where we will sit under a big tree while enjoying their wines (when weather is nice). During the cold time of the year, we will sit inside the very old stable, that is now turned into a beautiful room with windows overlooking the vineyards.
Only a short drive from this winery, we will visit one of my other favorite family-run wineries that specializes in organic cava.
This is a small and very charming winery located in the heart of Penedes.
When we arrive to this winery, the owner will meet us, and show us this old charming winery-house that has been in the family for generations.
Here you will get to know how cava is produced, which is quite different from wine. Any idea how they get that big cava cork into the bottle? Here the owner will show you!
After walking down into their wine cellar and smelled all those great aromas, its time for some tasting.
