About this activity
Tour begins visiting the main attractions of the old town such as the Basilica of Saint Nicholas with its precious Crypt, the ancient Cathedral of Saint Sabinus and the millenarian Swabian Castle.
Tour goes on discovering the modern French part of the city along the famous sea-side, with its fish market, opera theatres and luxury
shopping streets. Tour ends at Signora Maria’s House where we will learn how to make orecchiette, the local home-made pasta, and find out the secrets of Italian tomato sauce.

We loved our tour! When we first got off our ship, they gave us a bike and a map of Bari to go ride around. Gave us a meeting point and time to meet the tour guide, Michaelangelo. He was prompt and spoke all 3 languages that were on our tour! We had so much fun riding through the streets of Bari, and learning a little about the area as we went! Michaelangelo was very knowledgable and was a lot of fun! We went to watch the beautiful ladies of Bari make pasta and got to try our hand at it! They made it look so easy! After we had a wonderful home cooked Lunch with the fresh pasta, sauce, homemade wine and Fried Polenta. Just a wonderful and relaxing day! One of the best things we did on our trip!
This was a fun tour, but the central City is better suited to walking than biking. Given that it was a Sunday, the areas were very crowded and the cycling at tmes was out of place given the crowds. Even so, we enjoyed the visits to the cathedral, overlooks and inner city. The pasta making portion was fun, and eating our products was particularly so.
The sights of Bari are great. It was a lot of fun and going to the pasta making class was great. The pasta was so tasty and just a lot of fun to see how it is done and how others live. Great day!!
We had a great time with Eliana, our guide during the 3 hours bike tour through Bari. What a great way to get to know the city. We loved everything about it and want to recommend everybody to try this tour.
