Key Activities
• Powhiri – Traditional welcoming ceremony in to our home
• Morning tea – Freshly baked home made Maori bread and locally made condiments
• Waiata – Sing along and take home a well known and fun Maori song
• Weaving – Learn about korari – NZ flax and weave your own beatiful flax flower.
• History Sharing - Hear our stories from the beginning of time to now, by the most inspiring storyteller you will meet on these shores
• Pa Sites and sightseeing – We visit our most beautiful and scenic sights - Otuihau Whangarei Falls, climb one of New Zealand's biggest Maori Pa sites - Mt Parihaka , sail over the award winning bridge Te Matau a Pohe and breeze past our place of gathering, Terenga Paraoa Marae (in the mini bus)
• Hakari – Preparing and enjoying your own hangi lunch with a modern twist using locally grown delicacies.
• Whakawatea – Traditional farewell
