2-Day Night View of Simatai Great Wall and Gubei Water Town Trip from Beijing

Itinerary

Day 1: Beijing - Mutianyu Great Wall - Simatai Great Wall (Gubei Water Town)

Stop At: Mutianyu Great Wall, Mutianyu Road, Huairou District, Beijing China
At about 8:30 am in the morning, your private tour guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel lobby. Drive about 1.5 hours to Mutianyu Great Wall. You will take a cable car to get up to the Great Wall and do some hiking for around 2 hours according to your physical condition.
Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes

Stop At: Simatai Great Wall, Gubeikou Town, Beijing 101508 China
Afterward, get down by cable car and then head for Gubei Water Town by another 2 hours' drive. Check in the hotel after arriving at the water town and have a rest. You could choose to enjoy the hot spring. Around 8:00 pm, your guide will escort you to take a cable car up to Simatai Great Wall to enjoy the night views. Only towers 5 and 6 are open to tourists for the night tour, as these two towers are comparatively flat and safe at night. The trip will last about 1 hour.

Day 2: Gubei Water Town - Beijing

Stop At: Gubei Water Town, Simatai villege, Gubeikou town, Beijing China
After breakfast at your hotel, you could have a walk around the water town with your guide and will have a chance to make kites or learn bandhnu at your own expense. In the afternoon, drive about 2.5 hours back to Beijing. You will arrive in Beijing at about 5:00 pm.
