4 Days Private Tour of Beijing and Shanghai by Bullet Train (without hotel)

Day 1 Beijing (Lunch)

At 08:00 our guide and driver will greet you at your hotel. First we will take a walk on the Tiananmen Square. Then you will pay a visit the Forbidden City, the imperial palace in the Ming and Qing Dynasties (1368-1912). There were 24 emperors of the two dynasties lived in the Forbidden City. After lunch, we will pay a visit to Temple of Heaven where Emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties prayed for peace and harvest. Today’s last stop will be Summer Palace, the largest and most completely preserved imperial garden in China. Today you will also pay a visit to Chinese Herb Medicine Market.

Day 2 Beijing (Lunch)

Meet your guide and driver in hotel at 08:00 and drive to visit the ChanglingTomb, the tomb of the 2nd Emperor in the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Di. After lunch, we will move to visit the Badaling Great Wall, the most famous and the best-preserved section of the Chinese Ming Dynasty Great Wall. If hiking is too much for you, cable car is available and optional. Today you will also pay a visit to the Jade Carving Factory to learn about Chinese jade culture and appreciate some exquisite jade artworks. After visiting, you will be escorted back to your hotel in Beijing city area.

Day 3 Beijing – Shanghai by Bullet Train (Lunch)

In the morning the driver will escort you to Beijing train station for bullet train to Shanghai. Upon arrival meet your local guide and driver and start your Shanghai tour. The first stop will be Yuyuan Garden which was built in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). After that you will take a walk in Yuyuan Market, a bustling place were you will meet some century-old restaurants, interesting souvenirs, and many authentic local snacks. Then take a walk on Nanjing Road, the best known shopping street in Shanghai.

Day 4 Shanghai (Lunch)

At 09:00 our guide will meet you at your hotel lobby in Shanghai city area and then start the one day tour with Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall. With “city, human, environment, development” as the theme, the exhibition hall presents the city’s past and future from various aspects. After that you will head to Xintiandi, a great place for leisure and amusement where you will meet rows of shops and bars transformed from Shikumen houses. Then you will pay a visit to the famous Oriental Pearl TV Tower. From the top of the tower, you will have a bird’s eye view of Shanghai City. At last wander in the Bund Area to have a look at the beautiful scenery of Pujiang River and its banks.
