Your Tour Guide will meet you in your hotel's lobby then heading to to the Tian'anmen square to start your walking tour.

Tiananmen Square is the geographical center of Beijing City. It is the largest city square in the world, occupying an area of 440,000 square meters (about 109 acres).Followed by your expert and professional guide,a very informative introduction of the Tian'anmen square and surrounding buildings will be given to your group, as everyone moves along towards to the Forbidden City.

Without queuing at the ticket office, your tickets will be booked online in advance. Once enter the Forbidden City, your guide will find a quite sitting area and introduce you to the palace, making you feel immersed in the history of the Ming and Qing Dynasty.People always say: when visit Forbidden city, 70% is to learn the stories and 30% is to see the palace.During the walking tour, you will stop at different locations to have the "Story time" and gain the insight view to the fascinating culture.This detailed tour to the Forbidden city also including the visit to the important museums to discover the treasures from the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

You'll be walking pass the most notable buildings during the tour as well as the west and east chambers. Check the Itinerary for the full list of sights.

Your tour will end at the Imperial Garden in the north, then you can decide to explore more of the Palace on your own, or going to the next destination. Your guide will give suggestions for you on where to go and how to get to the next place.

Our guide was ‘Jimmy’, an absolute brilliant and cheery guy. He called our hotel the evening before our tour, to confirm our pick up time etc. We were a small party of 4, my wife and me plus two guys originally from Switzerland. We had a leisurely stroll through the square and into the the Forbidden City. Jimmy was full of stories and interesting facts all told in excellent English. At the end of the tour he walked us, rather than just give us directions, to an absolutely brilliant restaurant for lunch that he recommended, a distance of about a mile. He took my number and kindly offered to answer any queries or give us any tips if required during the rest of our trip. An excellent service, because frankly, if you don’t have a guide, you will miss out on so much given the scale of these attractions

This is a fantastic way to spend a day in Beijing. Vivian met our small group of 4 in our hotel lobby and we walked to Tiananmen Square and then on to the Forbidden City. We stopped at intervals to take in the sights and learn about Chinese history. There were lots of photo ops. Vivian was a great guide - she is knowledgeable, passionate and experienced. We learnt a lot and would definitely recommend this tour.

The small group tour was ideal because it allowed us to do all the things we wanted to do at the pace we wanted to go, without having to do what we weren't interested in. Our guide, Susan was very knowledgeable and her English was excellent. She also gave us lots of tips for the rest of our trip, took us on the underground so we would be able to do that at other times and put us on a bus to our next sightseeing location. She went above and beyond what we expected.

On this tour, you will be able to see every part of the Forbidden City that is open to the public, as well as all of its exhibits, and you will not be rushed. I can't image seeing the Forbidden City without our guide there to provide the historical context and significance, and his English was very good.
