6 Days Olympic Tour to Beijing & Zhangjiakou, the Host City of 2022 Winter Games

Itinerary

Day 1: Airport Pickup

Pass By: Beijing Capital International Airport, Shunyi, Beijing, China
After your arrival, you will meet your tour guide and driver outside the baggage claim area at the airport. Then you will be escorted to the hotel and check in. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the city by yourself or have a good rest at the hotel.

Day 2: Beijing Highlights

Stop At: Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang), West Changan Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing 100006 China
This morning, you will visit Tiananmen Square and see what the biggest urban city square in the world looks like.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Forbidden City-The Palace Museum, No.4 Jingshanqian Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing 100009 China
From the Tiananmen Square, you will enter the Imperial Palace, also known as the Forbidden City to explore its fascinating halls and pavilions. Here, you will not only learn how the emperor handled political affairs and lived their lives, but appreciate numerous ancient art treasures.

The lunch of this day is included. You will taste the authentic Chinese food in a nice restaurant.

Stop At: Hutong Tour, No.9, Zhonglou, Dongcheng District No.9, Zhonglou, Dongcheng District, 100009, Beijing, Beijing 100009 China
In the afternoon, you will continue this-day tour by taking the rickshaw through the old Hutong alleys. Here, you will get a close touch with the original Beijing lifestyle and culture.

Day 3: Tour in Summer Palace, Bird's Nest and Aquatics Center

Stop At: Summer Palace (Yiheyuan), No.19 Xinjian Gongmen Road, Haidian District, Beijing 100080 China
This morning, your tour guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel and take you to visit the Summer Palace, which is the largest existing imperial garden with a graceful landscape and magnificent constructions.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Niaochao National Stadium, No.1 Guojia Tiyuchang South Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing China
Then you will come to the Olympic National Stadium which is also named Bird's Nest. It is the home court of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. You can enter the stadium and appreciate the inner structure of this stadium.

Pass By: Water Cube, No.11 Tianchen East Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing China
After your visit to the Bird's Nest, you will see the Aquatics Center ( Water Cube ) and the newly built Olympic Tower. They are both good places for taking photos.

Day 4: China Great Wall and Transfer from Beijing to Zhangjiakou

Stop At: Stone Animal, Ming Tombs, Changling Town, Changping District, Beijing 102213 China
This morning, you will first visit the Sacred Way (Stone Animal). The Sacred Way is a way lead to the Ming Tomb. Walk along this way, enjoy your leisure time and appreciate the roadside animal sculptures.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: The Great Wall at Badaling, Badaling, Beijing 102112 China
Then visit the must-see Badaling Great Wall in Beijing, you will have a full view when you climb on the top of the Great Wall. A pair of comfortable shoes is needed because of numerous steps on the wall.

After your visit to the Great Wall, you will be escorted to the Chongli County in Zhangjiakou. The whole driving will take nearly one hour, then you will be escorted to the hotel in Zhangjiakou to check-in.

Day 5: Tour in Secret Garden Ski Resort, Dajing Gate and Transfer back to Beijing

Stop At: Genting Resort Secret Garden, Wutong Street, Tai Zi Cheng Village, 崇礼区张家口市河北省 China, 076350
After your breakfast at the hotel, you will be picked up by your tour guide and driver and take you to the Secret Garden Ski Resort. It is a place that will hold all of the skiing events of 2022 Winter Olympics. Free time will be left for you to explore this area. The fees of the activities and lunch are not included.

Then you will have a driving tour along the Grassland Sky Road. Here, you can see the winding rivers, rolling hills as well as the vast meadows in the roadside.

Stop At: Dajing Gate, North of Qiaoxi District, Qiaoxi District, Zhangjiakou 075000 China
After that, come to the Dajingmen Great Wall. It is one of the four great passes in the Great Wall of China. You can follow your guide to trace back its glorious history and appreciate its unique structure.

Then your Zhangjiakou tour from Beijing ends as we will drive back to Beijing. Upon your arrival in Beijing, check in the hotel again.

Day 6: Temple of Heaven Tour and Beijing Exit

Stop At: Temple of Heaven, Tiantan Road, Dongcheng District, Beijing 100050 China
If time permits, you will be arranged to visit the Temple of Heaven. You can appreciate the unique architecture of this building. It used to a place that ancient emperors worshiped the heavens in hopes of good harvests.
Duration: 1 hour
