Beijing Private Tour to Summer Palace plus Drum Tower Performance and Rickshaw

Your guide and private vehicle will pick you up from your hotel in Beijing. Then heading directly to the Summer Palace. On the way to the Summer Palace, about 40 minutes drive, your tour guide will explain the related histories and stories about the Summer Palace, feel free to ask your guide questions if you have.

Upon arrival, followed by your guide you will visit these buildings : the Hall of Benevolence and Longevity where they received officials and foreign envoys; the Hall of Jade Ripples where the emperor was under housing arrested for 10 years; Hall of Fragrant Herbs where the emperor used to store his books; the Hall of Happiness and longevity ,empress dowager Cixi's bedroom; Walk along the longest corridor in the world which listed on the Guinness book of world record; then continue to the Marble Boat--a foreign style superstructure which was supposed to be a symbol of stability of the Qing Dynasty. 

During the tour you will not feel been rushed, you will stop to listen to the stories, have your own time to look into the buildings and take photos, and continue.

Afterwards, you will heading back to city, on the way you will passby the Olympic Park and stop for photos.

Next, you will visit The Bell and Drum Towers which is the central timepieces for Beijing in Ming and Qing Dynasties, with the bells beaten in the morning and the drums beaten at night. The sound would spread for miles in previous years. When visiting, you can climb onto the drum tower to have a birds-eye view to admire the entire city, and watch the activity of knocking the drum performances.

Afterward, go to the old Beijing Hutong Street to take the fun rickshaw to explore the local allays and communities. A trip through the Hutongs will give you a glimpse of authentic Chinese life. And one of the most fun way to see this is with a rickshaw ride. Drink tea with a local family and talk about the life, culture etc. Don't worry about the language barrier, your tour guide will help you to communicate with the family.

Your private tour also including a lunch or dinner( depending on your start time) in the local restaurant, just tell your guide when you are ready to fill your stomach, and what type of food you want, your tour guide will take you to the right place.

At the end of the trip you are free for personal exploration or transfer you back to your hotel.
