About this activity
The guide will pick you up in your hotel lobby at 8:30 in the morning. You’ll head to the Panda Pavilion which is about a half-hour drive from a downtown hotel. Your tour guide will introduce Beijing during the car ride.
About five to eight giant pandas live in the Panda hall at the Beijing Zoo. It is best to visit the Panda Pavilion in the morning. Every morning, they eat bamboo from Sichuan Province and during the day they sleep. When the weather is good, watch several adorable pandas play in the garden with each other.
The famous Panda Pavilion is in the Beijing Zoo, an 86-hectare zoo. It is the earliest zoo opened in China also contain the most animals –there are more than 5,000 species of animals on exhibit.
After visiting the zoo, your tour guide and private car will take you to the Summer Palace.
Visit the Summer Palace, located in the western suburbs of Beijing (15 kilometers from the city center.) It was the royal private garden of the Qing Dynasty before 1900 and was later opened to tourists. It is based on Kunming Lake about Wanshou Mountain and in Hangzhou on the West Lake. It is a large-scale landscape garden built by the design method of Jiangnan Garden. It is also the most preserved royal place, known as the “Royal Garden Museum.” The highlight is the dragon boat on the Kunming Lake in the summer to see the entire Summer Palace.
On the way back to the hotel, we will pass the National Stadium- we call it the Bird’s Nest. The tall and modern structure represents a huge change since China’s reform and opening. The car will stop nearby so you may have a look and take pictures for five minutes.
This tour includes all tickets and lunch.
