Your English-speaking guide will meet you in the lobby of your hotel at 8:30am.

Upon arriving at the market, your guide will teach you how to bargain with sellers and introduce you to the history of Panjiayuan market. The market deals mainly in antiques and arts and crafts. It also has the reputation of being the most inexpensive antiques market in Beijing, attracting foreign and domestic tourists. Panjiayuan market covers an area of 4.85 hectares of land and accommodates over 3,000 stalls. It is the largest antiques market of its kind both in China and Asia.

Secondhand goods, arts and crafts and antiquities are the main transactions in the market. Also, on offer are antique furniture imitations, what is known to the Chinese as the "Four Treasures of the Study" (writing brush, ink stick, paper and ink slab), old books and paintings, agate, jadeite, ceramics, ancient Chinese and foreign coins, bamboo and animal bone sculptures, leather puppets for shadow play and a wide range of Chinese opera masks.

After your shopping session, get on your way for the Hutongs near the Drum Tower. Hutongs are a type of narrow streets or alleys, commonly associated with northern Chinese cities, most prominently Beijing. Your guide will bring you to taste different local delicacies: Yunnan cuisine, snacks in Beijing, and handmade Chinese dumplings and all accompanied with local beer.

You can finish your tour here and go for a walk in the hutongs or get your driver to drive you back to your hotel.
