Jinshanling Great Wall Private Tour with Gubei Water Town and Sunset on Simatai

Pick up at 10:30am from your hotel lobby and drive about 2 hours to visit Great Wall at Jinshanling. It was first built in the Northern Qi Dynasty (550-577) and rebuilt in 1567; most part of the Wall at Jinshanling is in its original condition with less restoration. You will take the cable car up then hike for 1.5-2.5 hours on this beautiful section of Wall.

Then drive for half an hour to visit Gubei water town and Simatai Great Wall. The Gubei Water Town is an architectural replica of Wuzhen in Zhejiang province, one of China’s most famous water towns. Composed of picturesque canals, bridges, courtyard houses, shops, and hotels, all backed by mountains and the Simatai Great Wall, Gubei is a delight to explore. Follow your guide around the highlights and enjoy a delicious dinner at a charming restaurant with Great Wall view.

After duly refreshed, ride a cable car up the Simatai Great Wall to enjoy sunset on the Wall. Admire the lit-up ramparts tracing the steep spine of the mountains from your cable car, and then walk along the battlements. Then, descend by cable car and either choose to take a golf kart, 30-minute walk, or a boat ride (own expense) back the parking lot.
