Day 1: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace

Stop At: Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang), West Changan Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing 100006 China
Tian'anmen Square is now the world's largest urban square. Up to 1 million people can assemble in the square. Modern buildings such as the Great Hall of the People and the National Museum of China make the Tian'anmen Square even more splendid.

Stop At: Forbidden City-The Palace Museum, No.4 Jingshanqian Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing 100009 China
Visit the largest and best-preserved ancient imperial palaces group with 500 years history. The palace was built between 1406 and 1420, but was burnt down, rebuilt, sacked and renovated countless times, so most of the architecture you can see today dates from the 1700's and onwards.

Stop At: Temple of Heaven, Tiantan Road, Dongcheng District, Beijing 100050 China
The place where the Emperors prayed for peace and harvest. It is located in the southern part of Beijing, and had been one of the most holy places for the whole country for more than five centuries. It used as a complex of sacrificial buildings for the Ming and Qing emperors.

Stop At: Summer Palace (Yiheyuan), No.19 Xinjian Gongmen Road, Haidian District, Beijing 100080 China
One of China's largest imperial garden. Summer Palace was originally a royal garden and a temporary dwelling palace for emperors of Qing Dynasty, Summer Palace presents itself with different views for different seasons.

Day 2: Mutianyu Great Wall and Ming Tomb

Stop At: Ming Tombs (Ming Shishan Ling), Ming Shisan Ling Area, Changling Town, Changping District, Beijing 102213 China
This is the best preserved tomb cluster in the world with the most emperors, making it be perfect destination for you to understand how ancient imperial tombs were constructed. You will visit the Chang Tomb, the earliest tomb is Changling, which was the tomb for Emperor Chengzu Zhu Di. The succeeding 12 emperors of the Ming Dynasty all had their tombs built around Changling, thus forming the 13 Ming Tombs.

Stop At: Mutianyu Great Wall, Mutianyu Road, Huairou District, Beijing China
Mutianyu Great Wall is located in Huairou district, about 80 km north from downtown Beijing. It is a green section of the great wall in Beijing with vegetation, green pines and cypresses covering 90 per cent of the section.There are three ways to get onto the Wall:

1. Taking chairlift to the Great Wall - to the 6th Watchtower

( or where you can take a toboggan down)

2. Walking up the Great Wall along the stone steps

(like a mountain hike - 50 minute hike) - to the 10th or 8th Watchtower

3. Taking cable car up and down to the Great Wall - to the 14th Watchtower
